ABOUT US

Team

Make real impact, not just noise—this is what we believe.
Our multidisciplinary teams come together to measure the variables and design messages particular to each audience.

Doy Roque

Chief Executive Officer

Doy is the chief storyteller, resident data analyst, and founder of M2.0. Starting out first as a journalist, he realized the importance of stories for the community. He served as the Asia Pacific vice-chairman of PROI, an international network of independent PR firms. He consumes and recommends a lot of films, shows, podcasts, and reading materials. To this day, we still don't know how he has the time for it.

Rachel Gool

Data & Analytics Project Manager

Rachel started her career creating process workflows across various business sectors. Additionally, she was also documenting all facets of operations to create resource guide manuals. Her entry into data analysis began when she was eventually tasked to work with ZOHO, tracking KPIs to make reports for marketing and sales performance.

Today, Rachel leads the research and development team to standardize the operational workflow for big data management from extraction, cleaning, visualization, and analysis. As M2.0’s resident expert on various data tools, she helps develop templates for PR media analysis and reporting, create automated cost calculators for different media report products, and apply techniques from NLP textual analysis to generate deeper insights from a given dataset (including sentiment analysis, named entity recognition and keyword hunter). Some of us don’t fully understand it, but thankfully, she does.

Layla Miram

Client Success Director

Layla has an extensive background in government communications, news, and editorial writing, as well as media relations. She’s very hands-on with identifying improvements in operations and providing solutions.

Before joining M2.0, Layla was the Public Relations Head of the Trade Secretary of the government. Having to come in two weeks before the pandemic lockdowns, she had to institute reforms within the system to make communications centralized and comprehensive. This included engaging in crisis communications, reviewing all materials that were seeded to the media, and writing official statements. During the change in administration, she also led the communication efforts of the incumbent Trade Secretary, ensuring that the messaging for a post-pandemic economic recovery resonated with the public.

An all-around communications specialist indeed, Layla can speak a little bit of Chinese, German, and French. She was also a former Starbucks barista so we now know exactly who to ask for recommendations and drink hacks.

Cathy Llanes

Media Relations Manager

With decades of experience in communications, events planning, and expo management, not just in the Philippines, but also in Southeast Asia and Europe, Enya is one of the most seasoned veterans at M2.0. Her work speaks for itself: a career dotted with success stories, including two World Expos, an APEC summit, and countless communication campaigns.

Before she even started working, Enya already had an impressive lineup of achievements having been a part of her university’s swimming team for four years. At the office, we call her the queen of small talk. The fact that she understands six languages (so far) is probably why.

Rica Oquias

Managing Director

Rica has a keen mind for shifting consumer preferences as she executes campaigns for global brands such as Anytime Fitness, New World Hotel, IKEA, PayPal, AWS, Bank of China, and China Telecom. She was also key in the success of an award-winning campaign for Merck Sharp and Dohme.

Having a strong passion for communications, Rica is determined to make sure that no problem is unsolvable. “Uncomfortability in all phases of my life is something I aspire to have. It is in being uncomfortable that I know I am in the right place. I can look at a goal and break it down into steps and execute it to concrete actions.” Most of the time, she's also the loudest voice in the office. Literally and figuratively.

Juliet Bato

Client Success Director

Back in 2012, Juliet found herself stuck in a research assistant position thinking that her college course’s career path was all she could follow. When a friend finally reached out to her regarding an opportunity in the PR industry, the rest was history.

Nowadays, Juliet finds her way back to the communications industry with M2.0 after brief stints with US and Singapore agencies back during the height of the pandemic. Her previous work experiences gave her the grit and skills to manage and tell great stories. Other than helping lead our teams with any and all media relations, she also manages her own family’s business that started back in 1894. Despite her busy schedule, she manages to have one of the biggest smiles in the office.

In 2015, he won the Chit Estella Award of Excellence in Journalism Research.
